Caveat: Veeam Unstructured Data Recovery “Rollback to a point in time” has no “Specify Destination” Option

Unstructured Data Backup, formely nas\share backup, has many restore actions available, the most common are

1- Restore of the entire file share: to recover all files

2- Restore of files and folders: to recover some files

3- Rollback to a point in time: to recover all files from a specified time

the number 3 has something special: it does not allow to specify a destination. (rif: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/file_share_data_recovery.html?ver=120)

This should carefully considered: usually Veeam’s wizards allow the choice between “restore to original location/restore to…”. This does not.

So, pay attention: this feature shall not be considered if we want to test a restore, to download some files somewhere, or create a copy of the file server/share. When started, it will restore to the original location and overwrite changes!
